To remove character restriction in Text to Blueprint (with AI)

IBM recently introduced the AI-powered Text-to-Blueprint capability in Blueworks Live, which is proving highly effective in converting textual process descriptions into process blueprints. However, the current input limitation of 5,000 characters restricts the use of this feature for many real-world business scenarios. Organizations often maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documents, work instructions, and policy documents that significantly exceed the current character limit.

Requested Enhancement:

Remove the current 5,000-character restriction or significantly increase the supported input size for the Text-to-Blueprint feature. Alternatively, allow users to upload larger documents (e.g., Word, PDF, or text files) for AI-driven blueprint generation.

Business Benefits:

  • Enables processing of complete SOPs and process documentation in a single operation.

  • Improves accuracy by preserving end-to-end process context.

  • Reduces manual effort and rework.

  • Increases the value and adoption of AI capabilities within Blueworks Live.

  • Supports enterprise-scale process documentation and discovery initiatives.

Expected Outcome:

Users should be able to submit larger documents without character restrictions, allowing the AI engine to generate comprehensive and accurate process blueprints directly from complete business documentation.
