Process Owner Assignment & Reporting

BWL is a Business process mapping Software. best Practice is that every Process should have a Business Owner. This can be assigned at the header level (the 'i' icon next to the process name). However, there is no easy way for Process Owners to find the processes that they own.

There needs to be a place where users can easily see all the processes they own and that Admin can see them also.

    Hi Laurence

Good question. The requirement comes primarily from an Audit & Risk perspective. Having created Blueprints, we need to ensure they each have an owner, that they are maintained and up to date.

    This creates two requirements:

    1. An owner is assigned, by role and by name (so that we can trigger notification). This person would automatically be assigned as the person that approves any future changes to that Blueprint

    2. That I could assign a review date period i.e. I could set a review period of 3 monthly, 6 monthly or yearly which would automatically trigger an email to the owner to tell them it needs to be reviewed. They would then need to do something to confirm that its reviewed and up todate (could possibly just use snapshot for this).

    Hope that makes sense

Hi Kieran, technically it would be possible for us to look at introducing a way of owners / admins to view the processes assigned to a user. What we are not sure about however, is what you would do with that list ? What kind of actions / workflows, do you think would be needed ? Can you describe a workflow use case that you think would be beneficial from having this list. That way we can think about potential logic steps for implementation.
