Graphical Data Objects (per BPMN spec) instead of or in addition to Input / Output properties.

The BPMN specification defines the Data Object and Associations that allow the author to clearly articulate the production/consumption/association of abstracted data artifacts. Since most business processes are data aggregations especially across multiple domains, it would be helpful to have the ability to show the graphical representation of that data association to business activities. It is bad UX to have to double-click the activity just to see its inputs and outputs especially when the activity is defined by or dependent on that data production or consumption, respectively.

Thanks for your request! We will consider adding support for a Data Object in the future, but our highest priorities for bpmn enhancements at this point are multiple boundary events and text annotations. In the meantime, don't forget that you can use Analyze mode in Blueworks Live to easily see inputs and outputs on your diagram.

    Hi Team,

Even from RBS, we have request from few business areas to have the BPMN Notations such as Data Object, Data store , Annotations, association flow etc. This will enable business to use BWL effectively for modelling with out depending / relying any other tool. Appreciate if this request is picked up on priority to make use of this tool in a more effective way.
have attached a document with the required notations highlighted for your reference.

    Thanks
