Separate Publisher and Editor Permissions In BlueWorksLive

On the manage users page, our team would like an additional category that will give administrators the option to give specific users the permission to publish separate from permission to edit in a space.

Thanks for your request, Jake! The long-term roadmap for Blueworks Live includes some enhancements to the permissions model. One of them would include "publishing" as a separate permission at the Space level.....Editors would be automatically granted publishing privileges by default but that could be overridden by Space Managers. This would aloow you to control which Editors have publishing privileges. But we don't have plans for implementing this anytime soon.
In the meantime, I would recommend leveraging the Governance Workflows in Blueworks Live....set your Managers as approvers, and once the workflow is complete, publish the artifact.
This functionality is described here: https://us001.blueworkslive.com/scr/docs/bwl/topics/governance.html
And here is a blog post describing the functionality: https://us001.blueworkslive.com/scr/home#!posts:2540459187
Note that there is an in-depth video covering the functionality that is linked to at the end of this blog post (since this is older, the UI has a different look and feel but the functionality is the same):

6 MERGED

Provide ability to manage publish rights for users either by role or by space.

Merged
Provide either an additional role somewhere between Contributor and Editor that's essentially an Editor without publish permission, OR allow ability to deny publish permission in Space permissions.
