Restoration of deleted attachments in case of system failure

Our team uses BWL for creating and storing DTPs, which contain lots of images and illustrations for its better understanding (named Attachments in Blueworks). We have many Editors and they create maps and documentation of their processes on their own. However, in BWL there is no option to restore the attachments deleted by Admin. It would be great if all attachments stay somewhere in the cloud even if are deleted by particular account Admin, and with the help of Blueworks Support and Development Team could be restored.

    Yes, so far I can confirm that system deletes exactly the files that I select for deletion.

    Plan to be able to reuse files in multiple artifacts is really great. Thanks for link to Idea BWL1-I-421.

    Thank you for your suggestion and your patience!

    Our goal is, first and foremost, to ensure that such system failures do not occur.

    While we weren't able to reproduce the system failure that was reported, we did take the report very seriously!

    As such, we made several optimizations in the March 2021 release, focused on your described scenario. These are all behind-the-scenes, but they included additional controls to ensure that the system deletes exactly the files that the Admin selects for deletion.

    Longer term, we have plans to redesign the file attachment capability within the product, including the ability to reuse files in multiple artifacts. At that time we plan to follow the pattern that exists today for processes and other artifacts, where you would first archive the file and then later either restore or permanently delete.
