Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas that cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Two Really Important Blueworks Suggestions

At The ERIE we are currently leveraging blueworks for advanced process design based on BPM best practice and additional best practices we've developed from IBM process ninja sessions. From my perspective, when all capabilities are used the right way the experience for stakeholders is best when they access processes within the tool itself rather than through PDFs and so on.
There are two things to consider that I believe will improve the experience and make existing functionality more intuitive. The first would be to change the order of the Docs and Details tabs. Some of your customers might not like that so having an option to configure the order would work for me as long as it could be a global configuration. By the way, the current configuration option for the details tab is great as well but I'd like to have the ability to apply that globally as well. (see use case)

On a related note, currently to see documentation that applies to the overall process in the viewing pane, users have to click an empty space on a map and that is definitely not very intuitive. I'd like to see a button or feature that says something like Click here to see overall documentation in the viewing pane.

The second request would be the ability to add text boxes of varying sizes and shapes to the map so we could put documentation directly on the map. Currently I can do this by adding empty milestones or swimlanes to make room, save the map as a pdf and then take screen shots of the documentation and paste it into adobe. That generally can take up to 30 minutes and I have to repeat that everytime I make a change. See second use case.

I also waned to mention that the enhancements in the last two releases add significant value on a daily bases. Great work and keep them coming.

    Thanks for your request & valuable input about how you use Blueworks Live :-) We will add your request to make the order of the View tabs configurable to our list of potential enhancements & will update thus RFE when we get closer to planning it. As far as the second request is concerned, we are adding text annotations in the next release (first half of 2020) which you will be able to associate with a diagram element (via an association line) or have freestanding on the diagram.

    I'd like to amend this and remove the second request regarding the ability to add text boxes. I found a better way to do that.
