Introduce support for cryptographic commit signing within the editor to enhance security and trust in version control. This feature allows developers to sign their commits using GPG, ensuring authenticity and integrity of code changes.
Description:
Enable the BAMOE editor to create signed commits directly, either by:
Manual Key Import: Allow users to load their GPG private key securely within the editor to sign commits on demand.
Local Backend Integration: Provide an option to configure a local signing server that interacts with the users GPG agent, automating signing without key exposure in the editor.
Browser Extension Compatibility: Facilitate compatibility with browser extensions that bridge GPG functionality, allowing secure key usage directly from the editor.
Benefits:
Improves security by ensuring code changes are verifiable.
Provides a flexible signing mechanism that works locally and integrates with users existing GPG configurations.
Increases trustworthiness of automated deployments by validating code authenticity.
In octokit which is used in the editor I see it is possible to add the Base64-encoded signature:

OpenPGP.js can be used to create the signature.
