Thanks, the setting worked for me. However, I would recommend making this the default behavior, both to stay aligned with BAMOE 8 and to ensure the generated process diagram accurately reflects the actual process flow. Otherwise, there is limited value in retrieving a process diagram that can be out of sync with the underlying process.
Hi @Guest
PFA
In settings of the BAMOE Developer tools extension, there will be these highlighted properties(refer screenshot). Values need to be set for them.
Run On Save is mandatory
extension.ibm.bamoe.silentlyGenerateSvgBpmnis for New React Editorextension.ibm.bamoe.classic.silentlyGenerateSvgBpmnis for Classic Editor (the older GWT one)ID depends, which one is used
Svg Filename Template and Svg File Path are optional
but here are some examples how to set them:
${fileBasenameNoExtension}.svgas filename template${workspaceFolder}as svg pathit will result into these lines in
settings.jsonof VS Code"kogito.bpmn.runOnSave": "extension.ibm.bamoe.silentlyGenerateSvgBpmn",
"kogito.bpmn.svgFilenameTemplate": "${fileBasenameNoExtension}.svg",
"kogito.bpmn.svgFilePath": "${workspaceFolder}"
Hi,
What command should be run to automatically generate the SVG? If this is an existing BAMOE feature, please provide the steps to enable and use it.
HI @Guest
Thank you for the suggestion. We discussed this with the development team and found that BAMOE 9 already provides a supported mechanism to automatically regenerate BPMN and DMN SVG files on save through the
kogito.*.runOnSavesettings in the VS Code extension.Documentation for this capability is currently being finalized. Since the requested behavior can already be achieved through existing configuration, we do not believe additional product changes are required at this time.
In BAMOE 8, saving an updated BPMN in the Designer would automatically generate or refresh the corresponding SVG.
