A new message type is written to the system log when cmod dynamically allocates a new application group data table. It should have the standard date/time, the name of the application group and the specific db2 table name created.
Why this is important: We have several large application group that are set to create a new table every 100 million rows. Depending on the day, 1 million rows could be added to the new table. When the folder is accessed that contains the new data table is searched, it causes db2 to perform a table scan which performs very poorly. This poor performance exists until a runstats is performed on the database ( we do this daily ).
If this new record type was produced, we could watch for it (via system log exit for example) and automatically generate the runstats much sooner than waiting for the next days scheduled runstats.
