Recreate Query/Extractor for decision engine.

We need to create, deploy and execute a single ruleset using a custom application. The functionality must be the same as the Query/Extractor for classic rule projects, but we need to do this with the new decision engine.

    Hello Marie.

I think there may be some king of misunderstood or maybe i did not explain myself properly. What we are trying to achieve is the same functionality as the one explained in this example (that uses classic rule projects): https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSQP76_8.10.x/com.ibm.odm.dcenter.bu.econsole/samples/smp_tsbrm_rulesetextraction.html

We have openned an issue a while ago about how we were unable to do this with the new decision services and we were told that this was not implemented yet and we should open a new idea here.

    Best regards.

    Hello Arnold,

Thank you for taking the time to suggest this enhancement to IBM Operational Decision Manager.

Query/Extraction is done at ruleset generation time, not at runtime, for both the classic rule engine and the decision engine. At runtime, the best option is to use dynamic select, which is available on the decision engine. Therefore, this functionality is already available.

Thank you for bringing your ideas to us. If you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation.

    Sincerely,

    Marie Girard
