All decision events are indexed by BAI FIlnt job in the same index mixing the data of multiple business domains where decisions are used. To differentiate the data from one domain to other the columns in the index are prefixed with the ruleapp and ruleset name:
odm-timeseries-* = { data.<ruleapp>.<ruleset>.in.pakage.class.member ...}
Instead, create an index for every business domain and name the index after the ruleapp/ruleset:
odm-timeseries-<ruleapp>-<ruleset>-* = { data.in.package.class.member ...}
So the proposal is, instead of having a big index with all the data mixed in it, having one index by business domain.
Benefits:
For the organization: they can use decisions widely without exceeding the limit for the number of columns in an ElasticSearch Index (by default 1000) that will break the index.
For the Business users and developers: they can do dashboarding for a business domain using an index pattern like “odm-timeseries-<ruleapp>-<rulename>-*” Such an index pattern allows them visualize, filter and aggregate data without the confusion of having all the data of all the organization available, but only the data significant for the business domain.
Developers and administrator still will be able to create cross-domain dashboards by creating and index pattern like “odm-timeseries-*”
