Offline scanning support
 
The below topic could be included in a downloadable module that reside in the scanning workstations. During normal operation using Datacap Navigator it could also be used as a temporary repository for scanned images if so desired.
 
If/When Navigator that is a website become in-operable the modules could be used to continue scanning with limited validation if required. The StartBatch panel layout has been downloaded and the data fields could be presented to the user when using off-line scanning. Once Navigator becomes operational all scanned batches including data entered by the operation will be transferred automatically to the Datacap main system and revalidation if required would take place.
 
Here are the main tasks for an offline module:
 
- download scan config / StartBatch panel
- StartBatch panel for data entry (We are aware of 2 layouts)
- create temp batches for later upload
- encrypt images
- ping Datacap servers to detects when/if system is alive
- upload temp folders content to Server system
- delete temp folders once upload is validated
